I have a grease trap set into a slab with a screed and tiles set up over the top of the 3 steel framed trafficable heavy duty concrete lids. These lids are extremely heavy, and as they are below FFL, they are very difficult to remove for pumping of the pit. I was wondering if I could core 200mm dia holes through the lids and cover with cover plates tightened down air tight over these holes. This way when the pits need pumping, the operators can pump the grease through the holes rather than having to remove the lids.
Any compliance issues?
