The Rinnai Smartstart® water saver has been developed to specifically reduce water wastage whenever a hot tap is turned on. The Smartstart® system allows you to pre-heat the water in the pipes before you turn on the hot tap. It is activated by the ‘preheat’ button on the Water Controller. Once the button is pressed, the INFINITY begins to heat the water and circulate it around the house without the need to turn on any taps. This may take a minute or two depending on the size of your home, but will help you save literally tens of thousands of litres of water over the life of your hot water system. Plumbing is designed as a ‘ring-main’ or loop around the house. In existing homes, a return line can be plumbed in from the furthest point back to the INFINITY.
